For this year, we wanted to change things radically by supporting multiple platforms (at least Windows and Linux) which meant a new UI with cross-platform compatibility and a change to the core framework of FMEL. Unfortunately, this has been proven far more trivial than originally planned and that, in addition to heavy personal work load, concluded in such a late pending release. I, therefore, take full responsibility for being late and inaccurate with previous ETAs of FMEL 2016. We are still working hard in order to deliver an initial version, hopefully next week.
